Beliefs and Values

The Fairview Community Church Bedrock Beliefs are:
1. Jesus

  • Jesus as example to all
  • Jesus as Lord and Savior
  • Each member is responsible for their belief about and their personal relationship with Jesus

2. God

  • God is unconditional love
  • God is the highest and best in all of us
  • We are all one in the spirit
  • Each of us has our own personal understanding of and relationship with God
  • Christianity is our chosen path to God but other paths to God are available to others through other religions and personal spirituality
  • The path to God is primarily through our actions-how we live our lives

3. Power of Prayer

  • Conversation with God, as strength

4. Grace

  • Love for one another
  • Learning to love unconditionally
  • Golden Rule, gentle and compassionate
  • Giving and forgiving
  • Grateful, celebrating life, joyful

5. Bible

  • Biblical teachings are at the center of our faith
  • Each member is responsible for his/her personal interpretation of the Bible and for supplementing learning from the Bible with learning from alternative sources as he/she sees fit
